Note Recognition

Mussila works with acoustic and electric pianos, as well as MIDI keyboards, without built-in sound modules. If you are having problems with recognition, check these tips.

Practice in a room with little or no distracting noise

Practicing in a room with little to no distracting noise, such as other music or sound from outside, will help the app recognize what you’re playing better.

Make sure that the background music inside the app is not too loud.

Connect headphones to your device (Mobile or Tablet)

If you’re using an acoustic piano or a keyboard without a MIDI connection, we highly recommend using safe audio headphones connected to your device while playing the app. We recommend headphones from BuddyPhones (www.buddyphones.com). This will prevent your microphone from picking up the background music from the app and improve note recognition accuracy.

If you are using a MIDI connection, check that you have chosen it as an Input device.

You can do so from the Advanced audio settings option in the Settings. To do that, follow this instructions:
